I'm...BACK! FROM GP KL!!
Ended 83th.. Might have top 64-ed if I hadn't lost the last game.
Lost the same way as Danny did. Terry Soh does some sick cascades sometimes. =\
Oh well, complaints aside. Made my first GP day 2!~ I mean.. it's my 2nd GP! Met my first few pro players. Haha. Namely Shuuhei Nakamura (everyone's gonna be talking about it) and Terry Soh. Lost both games to them 1-2. =( Last 2 rounds of day 2 too. DAMNIT!
Played Finest Hour Bant. (Called it RandomBant, cause I randomly took it from Song Khim on Wednesday after some failed rogue deck plan.) THE DECKLIST ON MTG.COM IS WRONG!!! ROAR! They should bloody check what I wrote on the damn paper. !&^%&#^! Feels so insulted.
Nevermind, maybe that version is better. ( Doubt it.)
Day 2 is a great experience. Some important lessons from the trip. 3 round Byes rock, helped me so much to get into day 2. Losing to your own mistakes are probably the worst, especially if you would have won on the spot instead of losing 3 turns later. Oh, and never drink some hard liquor before going on a bus trip. Worse feeling ever.

Well, I don't think anyone comes here anymore anyway. This is more like my ranting space =DD
(Sorry to those who frequently visit here ((IF ANY)), but yea this is a place where I vent my frustrations, so bear with me k? =D)

Ok, on to the main topic.

YES! I got my 3 rounds BYE at GP KL! Muahahahhaa! <-----Proud of himself! LOL. Looking forward to my trip. Good news aside, I'm really slacking off improving my deck and it's sideboard, which is bad. Look, I don't give a fking crap about your comments about my deck. It performed as it should on Sunday, so those who think it's lousy, just don't even try to play it. Given good play and some extent of luck, I'm sure the deck would perform well. Time to spend loads of time twicking the deck up for next week!

Magic aside, just screwed a DOTA game up. Pubs are pissing me off, lousy play and lousy teamwork, along with too much crap. Totally dragged the team down. I GIVE UP ON THEM!(Well the majority anyway.) I mean come on, those people play DOTA without consideration for other people's feelings, so why should I even try. What I think is that DOTA players should all strive to win every single game they play. Think of it as a team sport game, and maybe those morons should wake up their ideas. It's not competitive, I know, but what's the point of spending 30 minutes ~ 1 hour on something where you don't give your all. I rather you spend that time wanking off to some porn. Seriously.

This is a quote from Jon Finkel, one of the better players at Magic the Gathering out there. Looking at this quote, I finally know where I went wrong playing Magic, even other games.

Firstly, Magic. For the past..2 months, this is all I have said when i lost. "Wa Lau, keep getting chao chiu-ed", "Mana Screwed", "He topdecked his out." and many more. Crap. Look at what i have bloody done. I just screwed myself into oblivion for not learning from my mistakes, where I went wrong, etc etc. I mean, like what Kesen Raaj said, I just.. emo. ( Put simply ) So, probably I should start looking back at where I went wrong instead of thinking about how I lost to bad luck, or my opponents good luck. Then I would probably be a much better player.

This also applies to Dota. Look, if you laned melee + melee vs ranged + ranged, that's your fault. Just bear with it, and learn how to deal with it, instead of giving up and feed. If you laned against 2 stunners, or even a simple 2 player combo, learn to deal with it as well. Play to your fullest, and don't look back and blame your opponents, or your luck. Only look back to see where you went wrong.

I, for one, am inspired by this quote. This probably also relates to real life as well, but I don't thing I would go to such details. The reason I posted this onto my blog was to raise my self awareness, that whenever I come to my blog, I would always remember about this. Although I also hoped that others would also learn something as well. =)

Sunday Standard Report!
15 players! 4 Round Swiss, Top 4 Play off! (Small event, I know.)

Round1

-Game1-
He won the die roll and when he laid a Terramorphic Expense, I was wonder what the deck was. Then on turn 2 he cast a Lotus Cobra. Looking at his land base, he was actually playing some Jund varient with Lotus Cobra. I should have used my Path to Exile on his cobra on turn 2 instead of casting Steward of Valeron. The following few turns went downhill for me. Siege-Gang Commander on turn 3 for him and 2 turns later, I had an empty board with 2 dragons, a Borderland Ranger, Lotus Cobra and Bloodbraid Elf staring at my 13 life.

-Game2-
I would say this game was completely 1 sided. He stalled on lands on turn 3, while i had Emeria Angel and Knight of the Reliquary on board, making his turn 2 cobra look weak. When he finally drew a land, he casted a Malakir Bloodwitch. Unfortunately, the next turn, i attacked with my 7/7 Knight of the Reliquary, Emeria Angel and 4 bird tokens and he was force to block my knight as he was at 13 life. A Summoning Trap later, revealing a Sphinx of the Steel Wind, makes him concede the game to me.

-Game3-
This game went slowly as we both stalled on lands after the 2nd land drop. I managed to get in 2 points with my Noble Hierarch and eventually drew a land to cast a turn 3 Baneslayer Angel off my Noble Hierarch and a Steward of Valeron. Next turn i attacked him for 6 points, before revealing a 2nd Baneslayer Angel off a Summoning Trap. A turn later he was at 2 life. Then he sacrificed a fetchland, going down to 1, before casting Warp World. At 1 life, he got 2 Broodmate Dragons, 1 Siege-Gang Commander, Bloodbraid Elf and Oracle of Mul Daya. I got a Baneslayer Angel, Emeria Angel, 2 Lotus Cobra, Noble Hierarch and 4 lands, of which 2 were fetchlands. In the end, he couldn't find a way around the 1 life with his resources, and he conceded.

Round2

-Game1-
I was paired down to Huai Shi, who was playing Standard Dredge. I was like, hoping not to meet him after round 1, and then I got paired with him. The reason? I had no, 0, graveyard hate in my mainboard, and sideboard. This game went by quickly, as I managed to turn 1 Noble Hierarch, turn 2 Knight of the Reliquary, turn 3 Emeria Angel, getting 2 bird tokens off fetching a land with my knight, and then a turn 4 Baneslayer. After I revealed an Ajani Goldmane, he conceded

-Game2-
His early Hedron Crab was Path-ed, Garruk was creating a lot of beast tokens, and 5 turns later, i managed to draw a Baneslayer Angel to put enough pressure on the board for him to concede. Had he drawn 1 more land, my board would have to be reset by his Leviathan in his graveyard. I got lucky.

Round 2 END
Score 2-0, Game Score 4-1.

Round 3

-Game1-
I didn't know what deck he was playing. I mulliganed to 5, only to curse in dismay that he was playing Mono-Red. CRAP! Turn 1 Goblin guide 20-18, turn 2 Hellspark Elemental 20-13, turn 3 Hellspark Elemental, 20-8. Concede. Wow, that was fast. I didnt draw a single Rhox War Monk or Path to Exile. I kept drawing 4 drops.

-Game2-
I boarded in my Summoning Traps and Iona, along with the Lotus Cobra. My turn 1 Noble Hierarch was toasted, and on turn 3, my Borderland Ranger paled in comparison to his Ball Lightning. 20-14. I attacked with my Borderland Ranger, 18-14. Next turn, Ball Lightning and Goblin Guide came in, I Path-ed the Ball Lightning, taking 2 from the Goblin Guide, 18-12. I casted Noble Hierarch and then Lotus Cobra, then attacked him down to make it 15-12. Next turn, Hell's Thunder flew over, and left it at 15-8. I attacked with Borderland Ranger, layed a 2nd fetchland, and a Knight of the Reliquary, then passed the turn. Next turn, he made a Hellspark Elemental, Hell's Thunder and attacked me. I blocked his Goblin Guide with the Lotus Cobra, with a revealed Summoning Trap on the top of my library, and blocked the Hellspark Elemental with Knight of the Reliquary, which was only 2/2. Taking the damage, the score was at 12-3. I had 1 out with my Summoning Trap, which was Iona, Shield of Emeria set to red. I casted the Summoning Trap, and slowly peeked at the 7 cards. 6 cards later and I literally slammed the Iona onto the table. He conceded.

-Game3-
Goblin Guide left me at 18, while I simply laid a land on turn 1 and passed the turn back. Turn 2 he had Hellspark Elemental, which i Path-ed, leaving me at 16. I then layed a land and casted a Noble Hierarch, which died. Turn 3 he simply laid a 4th land, and passed the turn back. I then casted Rhox War Monk. A turn later he also said he was done. I attacked with my Rhox War Monk, only to have it die to Seismic Strike. Ouch. Next turn Ball Lightning came in, and i was at 10 life. I fetched a land( 9 life ), and casted 2 Lotus Cobra. Hell's Thunder left me at 5 life. I drew and casted Noble Hierarch. Unearth-ed Hell's Thunder left me at 1 life. I top-decked a Baneslayer Angel. With me at 1 life, he passed the turn. I let a sign of relief, and then attacked with Baneslayer Angel, upping my life to 7. I casted a post combat Rhox War Monk. 2 attacks later, and a 2nd Baneslayer Angel, I was into Top 4. YES!

Round 3 END
Score 3-0, Game Score 6-2.

-Semi-

~Game1~
This game, was so 1 sided. By the time he casted his first spell, my board had these. Noble Hierarch, Knight of the Reliquary, Emeria Angel and 2 Bird Tokens. Next turn, Baneslayer Angel and a turn later, Ajani Goldmane made him concede.

~Game2~
This game, I was crushed by his fast start, with a board similar to mine 1 game earlier. After drawing 3 blanks in a row, I conceded, even though I was at 15 life.

~Game3~
A mirrored turn 1 play of Noble Hierarch, turns later i was ahead in the count of Emeria Angels. Summoning Trap brought me Iona, Shield of Emeria set to white, before a combined effort of 2 wolves, Master of the Wild Hunt and Elspeth took it down. Turns later, I managed to draw Path to Exile for his Master of the Wild Hunt, followed by Knight of the Reliquary, with 3 Emeria Angel on the board. He looked, and conceded.

Game Score 8-3.

FINALS!
Ok, Benedict and I played this round for fun, as he would let me up and we would split the packs. The following 2 games were.. horrible for me. I sideboarded wrongly, and we played a 45 minute game of gaining life.

I shall post my decklist later, along with my sideboard! I had finally reached the finals at my usual Sunday event. Even though it was just 15 people, I had learnt a lot of things and improved my sideboarding. Well, regarding the 7 boosters that I opened, it wasn't total crap, but i could have earned more from just selling those packs to people, but I'm not regretting or anything. $10 for 7 packs is worth it!

Hi

Its been a while since I last blogged.
I WON'T give excuses such as like...I was too busy, etc. etc.
Because I'm rarely busy =)

Anyway,
Currently I'm attending a course somewhere at Buona Vista, and I'm going to Australia next week.
And crap, the timing just had to clash with the Singapore MTG Open.
There goes my chance at S$800.
But I doubt i would get anywhere near there, given my recent misfortunes.

Well, I would be free this weekend, Friday evening and Monday!
I'm gonna die of boredom sooner or later.
Seriously.

Okay, I don't have much to say anyway.

2nd day at home..
Fell sick on tuesday. WEIRD
Morning woke up with sore throat.
Then I went to Bishan.
Suddenly just felt like I was damn sick, like.. I just didn't feel good.
Went to doctor at night.

Ok, so I didn't update my blog yesterday.
Was out at AMK Hub Mac the entire night for MTG Zen Release
Kinda boomed, but nevermind.
At least I feel that i spent my time doing something that I like =)

So today, I just came back from my dad's birthday dinner.
On-ed my computer, went on MSN and started chatting with Kefei.
GAHH, she convinced me to post on my blog, so here I am!

Really nothing much to post now ><, just waiting for my DOTA game to start.
Still lacking 1 person.

Oh well, I guess a little bit of patience won't kill anyone.

Hi, its me again!
Lol, yes I'm making it a point to blog everyday now =)
So.. today was quite boring, I mean really boring, super boring, so boring that I can't be any worse off being bored. Heck I might even die being bored lol!
Ok, enough with that lame sentences.

I should really, really seriously control my money. I mean, look at the post above. Maybe I should quote it or something, but I think it said something about me learning to control my expenses. Guess what, I kinda overspent. AGAIN.
ARGH, I just can't stand myself =_=
Oh well, I shall continue repeating it on my blog until I actually stop spending my money so carelessly.

Oh, and I guess that some of you, if any, are thinking that I should put up my tag box soon. Well, I SHOULD be putting it up, should be.
As you can see the links are not even up yet, so I doubt that the tag box would be up anytime soon.

Ok.. so i decided to post, after a gap of like.. almost a year? Maybe less than a year, probably. Haven't been doing much recently. Everyday seems to be similar to a broken tape recorder, same schedule, same plans. GAH! I need to do something different or I really will rot to death at home.

On to other things. Miss secondary school life, simple and straight forward. Hanging out lesser and lesser with the people I used to meet up with almost everyday. Hais.. Oh well, i can't ask for everything in life. I probably should continue to stick to whatever I'm doing right now, forget about everything before and move on, but I guess that's not really possible for me.

I guess that wraps up everything about this post. I know it's like.. massive complaining, but I guess this post should be the start of the revival of this blog (almost dead, if not already dead). I did not write this post because i was FORCED to, but i just wrote it out of my extra load of spare time, and a bit of suggestion from SinYee.

Added a new skin to my blog, shall link up everyone soon. I guess I should end off here. Hope to post tomorrow as well, if I remember that is, and if I decide to. =)
